From Kruunuvuorenranta to city centre by Kruunuvuorenranta ferry

Ferry operates between Kruunuvuorenranta in Laajasalo and Meritullintori in the junction of Aleksanterinkatu and Pohjoisranta, near the Market Square. You can pay your ferry trip with the HSL’s AB zone tickets.

HSL recommends passengers to purchase the ticket in advance or with their HSL card or the HSL application. Tickets are not sold on the ferry or at the ferry platforms.

The ferry trip lasts about 20 minutes in one direction. The ferry operates every day during the summer season and on weekdays in the winter, from 7.00 to 22.00. The ferry operates approximately every 50 minutes. On winter weekends, the ferry runs from 10.00 to 18.00. The ferry’s winter season begins at the start of November.

Passengers can bring a bike onto the ferry without additional cost if the ferry has room for the bike. The route from Meritullintori onto the ferry is accessible. The temporary platform at Kruunuvuorenranta is not fully accessible, and the personnel will assist passengers in boarding the ferry if necessary.

The ferries operate with environmentally friendly renewable diesel (HVO).

In accordance with the City Board’s decision, the demand and need for ferry transport will be assessed during the operations, and the transport operations will continue no longer than until the completion of Kruunusillat bridges.

The ferry is M/S Amiraali, operated by Sun Ferry and JT-Line. The ferry has plenty of seats both inside and on the sun deck. It is also great for transporting large groups.
